How To Pack For A Fitness Retreat

by Charlie Berry

Congratulations! You're going on a fitness retreat! You'll come back stronger, healthier, and more relaxed after a few days spent thinking about only you and your personal wellness. To keep the focus on your fabulous self during your fitness retreat, do a little pre-planning to make sure you pack appropriately. Then, when you're there, you won't have to worry about what to wear or have to figure out how to get your hands on the things you've forgotten. Read on for some tips on packing for a wellness vacation or fitness retreat.

Tote Bag

You'll likely be doing a lot of walking between classes, meals, and chat sessions during your retreat, so bring a tote bag to hold all your essentials. That way, you won't have to go running back to your room to grab your book, your journal, or your water bottle. Bring a tote made of natural materials with a print that makes you feel good. Built-in pockets help, too!

Proper Shoes

Think of the types of exercises you'll be doing and plan your footwear accordingly. If your fitness retreat includes a lot of yoga, shoes aren't as essential, but if your fitness retreat will include high-impact aerobic activity, a sturdy pair of sneakers is important. Also consider a pair of slip-on sandals that you can wear around the retreat space and in your room if you prefer not to be barefoot in shared living spaces. Shoes that can get wet are a good option if the retreat is near a body of water.

Book

Bring a book that you've been dying to read but haven't been able to get to. A non-fiction book on spirituality or another idea you've wanted to explore are fun options that will strengthen your mind as you strengthen your body. A fun beach read is another good option if you just want to kick back and relax when you're not killin' it at the gym. Also consider bringing a journal along. Personal insights often come up during a fitness retreat and committing them to paper will help you bring those insights back home with you into your regular life.

Comfy Clothes

In addition to enough exercise clothes to get you through the retreat without doing laundry, bring comfortable clothes made of natural fibers that you can wear over a bathing suit as easily as you can wear to dinner. Loose-fitting silhouettes are wonderful options. Consider draw-string pants, loose-fitting dresses that can double as a bathing suit cover-up or nightgown, and cotton tops.

About Me

Chiropractic Healing Works

I used to be skeptical about chiropractic healing. However, that was before I tried it for myself. I was in an accident that did serious damage to my back. I followed all of the doctor’s recommendations, did my physical therapy, and still didn’t feel any better. That was when I finally decided to try going to my friend’s chiropractor. It was such a relief when I finally started to feel better thanks to the great chiropractic care I received. That’s when I decided to start researching chiropractic care and how it could be used to treat different conditions. This blog contains the results of that research. If you’re looking for a way to feel better, you too may benefit from chiropractic healing. These articles will help you learn how.
